The data we use and why
Optional website analytics
With your explicit permission, Google Analytics 4 measures public page views, opening the booking interface, clicks on the phone number and opening the map from the contact details. Opening a booking is not a completed booking, and a phone click is not a completed call. We add the path of a known public page without query parameters or the part after #, language, link placement and a fixed destination type. For allowed search engines we send only the domain, without the path or search terms; other referring addresses are omitted. We do not add names, form contents or full destination URLs. Google still receives technical connection data, such as your IP address and browser or device information.
Visiting the website
To deliver pages and protect the service, our hosting provider Vercel processes technical request data such as your IP address, browser information and the URL you visit. The purpose is a working, secure website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating and securing it under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Your email or phone call
When you email or call us, we use the contact details and information you choose to provide to reply or arrange a booking. Providing this data is voluntary; without the necessary contact details, we may be unable to reply or arrange your booking. Requests connected with a booking are processed to take steps before a contract or perform it under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; we handle other general enquiries based on our legitimate interest in communicating under Article 6(1)(f). There is no contact form on the public website.
Menus and reviews
The current menu is fetched from an interface on the same domain. The public review excerpts shown are included in the website itself; displaying them does not automatically load a Google service. We do not use analytics for advertising profiling or make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects.
Cookies and browser storage
Your browser remembers your analytics choice. Google Analytics 4 and its cookies are enabled only after your explicit permission; advertising consent remains denied. Closing the former information notice does not allow analytics.
| Browser record | Contents and purpose | Storage period |
|---|---|---|
la-piccola-perla-cookie-notice | A record that may remain from closing an earlier information notice. It does not grant analytics consent or enable analytics. | No automatic expiry; until you clear this website’s data in your browser. |
la-piccola-perla-analytics-consent-v1 | The choice to allow or reject analytics, notice version and save time; used to respect your choice. | LocalStorage: up to 180 days. Change your choice in the footer or clear website data at any time. |
_ga, _ga_<ID> | After consent: a browser identifier and session information for website usage statistics. | Cookies are configured for up to 180 days without extending expiry on later visits. The website removes them when you reject analytics. |
You choose whether to allow analytics
Until you explicitly allow analytics, the Google tag does not load and the website sends no analytics requests. Allowing and rejecting have equal weight. Change your choice through Cookies & privacy in the footer. Withdrawing permission stops further measurement, removes this website’s analytics cookies and reloads the page; it does not itself delete data previously sent to Google.
To remove these records, open your browser’s Privacy or Site data settings, find this website’s domain and clear its stored data. Analytics stays off until you allow it again.
External services and transfers
We do not embed an external map or booking interface. These services open when you follow their links. Google Analytics loads separately and only after analytics consent.
Google Analytics 4 · optional statistics
After you allow analytics, Google processes website usage events and related technical data. Advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalization remain denied; we do not enable Google Signals. Google explains its data processing in the links below.
Vercel · website hosting
Delivers and protects the website, processing technical request data in the process. Hosting may involve processing outside the European Economic Area; Vercel’s data processing agreement describes the transfer terms and safeguards.
ChoiceQR · table bookings
The booking link opens the ChoiceQR interface. The provider’s information and policies also apply to the operation of that interface. Before submitting a booking, check the requested data, its use and retention period directly in the booking interface.
Google · maps and reviews
When you follow a Google map or review link, Google receives technical data about that visit under its own policies. These links are separate from analytics consent. Our website fonts are served from our own domain.
How long we keep data
We keep direct correspondence for as long as needed to handle your enquiry or booking. Any subsequent retention depends on related legal obligations and a justified need to deal with claims.
Technical operational records are subject to the hosting provider’s retention rules and the time needed to investigate and resolve a particular security or operational incident. We do not specify a single fixed period for all these records.
In Google Analytics 4, retention is set to 2 months for event and user data, without resetting on new activity. This setting does not limit most standard reports based on aggregated data. It is separate from the 180-day validity of browser consent and cookies.
Local records and cookies remain for the periods described in the table above. Rejecting analytics stops future measurement but does not itself delete data previously sent to Google. Data entered in the external booking interface is subject to the information provided there.
Your rights and contact details
Depending on the circumstances and the conditions of the GDPR, you may request:
- access to your personal data and information about its processing;
- correction of inaccurate data or completion of incomplete data;
- erasure of your data or restriction of its processing;
- data portability where it applies to the processing concerned;
- the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests.
You can withdraw analytics consent at any time through Cookies & privacy in the footer. Send questions or requests to the controller using the email address or telephone number below. We may need to verify your identity to an extent proportionate to your request.
If you believe your data is being handled incorrectly, you can complain to the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection.

The following storage supports content administration and does not track ordinary visitors:
- Administrator authentication uses sessionStorage. The session is removed on logout or when the relevant browser tab is closed.
- The local menu cache and the la-piccola-perla-daily-menu-revision and la-piccola-perla-special-menu-revision records support menu administration and update detection. Records in localStorage have no automatic expiry and can be removed by clearing site data.
- The la_piccola_perla_daily_menu cookie lasts for one year and contains dishes and prices. It stores the menu rather than identifying or tracking visitors.
